Respectrum Advisory Services is a specialist SEND organisation supporting children, young people, families, education settings and commissioning organisations across Suffolk, Norfolk and beyond.
About Respectrum
Our work is rooted in the belief that support should be designed around the individual, rather than expecting the individual to fit an existing system. We work collaboratively to understand each person’s strengths, needs, interests and aspirations and develop practical, individualised support that makes sense in their real life.
Our approach is person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming and relationship-based. We recognise that behaviour is communication and seek to understand what may be happening for a child or young person rather than simply trying to change what others can see.
Our Experience
Respectrum brings together professional expertise and lived experience across SEND, neurodivergence, education and family support.
Our team includes neurodivergent professionals as well as people with lived experience of navigating SEND, education and support systems personally and alongside their own families. This gives us an understanding informed not only by professional training and practice, but by experience of what these systems can feel like for the individuals and families using them.
Our team has experience working alongside children and young people with a wide range of needs and profiles, including autism, ADHD, PDA, dyslexia, communication differences, sensory differences and social, emotional and mental health needs.
We work collaboratively with families, schools and colleges, local authorities and other professionals, recognising that effective support rarely comes from one person or service working in isolation.

What I Do At Respectrum
What don’t I do at Respectrum?! My role is varied, which is one of the things I love about it. I support families and Local Authorities throughout the referral process, coordinate much of our Alternative Provision work, and oversee Respectrum with projects, compliance and governance.
My favourite part of the job, though, is working directly with children, young people and their families. I love getting to know the individual behind the referral, finding out what matters to them and helping to create support that genuinely works for them.
A Little Bit About Me
I live with my husband, two children and what is beginning to resemble a small petting zoo: my two dogs, Reggie and Bear (seen in my picture!), my ginger cat Albert, and four guinea pigs!
I’m neurodivergent myself and bring both professional and lived experience to my work. I see the way my brain works as one of my strengths and something that brings a valuable perspective to my work. I particularly love being able to connect with the children and young people I work with, understand things from their perspective and support them on their own individual journey.
